The Removal of the Railway from Parkside Stanford
// July 20th, 2009 // No Comments » // Deconstruction
We found out in June 2007 that the current owners of Parkside had sold the house to a property developer. When they were contacted to find out what was to happen to the track they said it would go too as they wern’t interested. After some discussion the decision was made to remove the railway from its original location at Parkside Stanford. As the side was to be raised to the ground soon there was not a great deal of time for us to do this. I seem to remember we found out that we could get the track, removed it the following weekend and the bulldozers moved in on the Monday after!
